The Warm Ring Glow

If you are looking for a photographer for anything, I highly recommend Ring photography.

Brittany is a local Maine photographer who specializes in warmer-toned photos; her specialties include families, portraits, elopements, and lifestyle sessions. She edits her photographs and uses her eye for color and tools like pantyhose to achieve a warm, authentic, rustic look, depending on the kind of photo session. It’s a cool trick that softens the lens and creates a dreamy glow, adding texture to the photograph. She is the kind of woman you see with her camera and a smile on her face. She’s naturally kind and can make anyone feel comfortable.

When I think of Ring Photography, I instantly think of the warm glow effect. Her photos always have a warm tone that makes it feel like you're naturally getting your photo taken during the golden hour. If you aren’t familiar with the golden hour, it’s the time of day before and during sunset when the glow of the sun is most prominent. Honestly, it’s also the best time to get photos taken, if I say so myself. Every photo session leaves you with that warm glow, making you feel more confident and beautiful than when you first arrived.

I don’t think I’ve ever had a session with Brittany where I didn’t leave feeling that same warm glow. I’m positive anyone else who has had their photo taken by Brittany will say the same. The first time I got my headshots taken by Brittany, I was nervous and insecure. I asked her if there was a way to make me feel less… well, fat. The way she looked at me was honestly hilarious. She was like, "What do you mean?” I had to explain that I was self-conscious about my size. She told me I was beautiful and that she couldn’t make me love myself, but she would do her best to capture the beauty I had on camera.

Let me tell you right now that she has an almost magical effect on her clients; every session feels natural, and half the time you don’t even know if she’s taking the photo. She makes the entire process feel effortless. She chats away and will lightly guide you, telling you to move your hand a little or tilt your head, but other than that, you wouldn’t think you were getting your photo taken. She makes it feel effortless and like you’re just spending time with a friend, catching up on life. It’s calming, fun, and always a blast. 

In the end, my headshots came out perfect. I got so many compliments on them and even used them for my professional pages. She made me feel beautiful and respected.  

The first time I ever really saw her work was when she did my best friend’s wedding, and my mouth literally dropped when I saw the photos. I had never seen her look so happy in my entire life. But the photos truly captured her and her husband’s big day. The photos really embodied the moment.

I will forever feel that her work is underrated. Each photo is a work of art, whether it be an elopement, a family photo session, or just headshots. She is the one to go to.
